NEW: Mounting set for door damper V 1600 on glass doors

The use of door dampers on glass doors is easier than ever with the new gluing-mounting set

With the help of a special double-sided adhesive tape, the mounting plates for both the door damper V 1600 and its corresponding hook are attached to the glass door or glass fanlight. To complete the design, each set includes a cover plate, which is also attached with adhesive tape to the other side of the door opposite the mounting plate. Both mounting and cover plates are made of AISI 304.

New mounting option on glass doors using double-sided adhesive tape

The door damper or hook is firstly screwed onto the corresponding mounting plate. Then the mounting plate is fixed to the glass door or glass fanlight. Finally, the cover plate is attached to the other side of the glass so that it covers the mounting plate.

If the door does not have a glass fanlight, only the door damper is attached to the door with the mounting set. The hook can then be screwed into the frame either directly or with the aid of another mounting plate.

Endurance test

At our production site, we made extensive tests on the durability of the new fixture. For the tests a door damper V 1600 with 115 N was used: 100,000 actuations at a time, followed by at least 24 hours rest-time in the closed position to check whether the small adhesive surface of the hook can withstand the continuous tensile load in this position, then the next 100,000 strokes, etc.

The door damper completed 500,000 strokes without any problem. An so it passed the test successfully.

There are two mounting kits available: one for the door damper and one for the hook.

The cover plates on the opposite side of the door ensure that the door damper and hook are visually appealing on both sides of the door.
