Smoke and heat detectors

  • Fire detectors (smoke or heat detectors) immediately report a fire to the central unit (RZ-24) and thus ensure that the hold-open system is triggered in time
  • The smoke detector identifies a possible fire quickly and reliably on the basis of smoke development
  • In some cases, heat detectors are also used – they register a rapid rise in temperature or recognise a certain threshold temperature which trigger them

Replacement for smoke detectors RM 2000 and RM 3000+ / heat detectors WM 2000 and WM 3000+

As of July 2019, the smoke detectors RM 2000 / RM 3000+ and WM 2000 / WM 3000+ may no longer be manufactured in Germany due to the current regulations of the Institute for Building Technology. Since all of the stock has been since sold off, there is no longer the option of simply replacing the fire detectors. If necessary, a new hold-open system with the control panel RZ-24 and fire detectors RM / WM 4000 must be installed according to current regulations.
