Is it possible to install hold-open systems on doors that belong to an outdoor area?2024-01-12T14:07:29+01:00

There are always cases in which a hold-open system is not regulated in accordance with the provisions of the general type approval, but is nevertheless required. This includes, for example, hold-open systems in outdoor areas. However, the general type approvals relate exclusively to use on interior walls. In order to implement this, an object-related provision is therefore necessary. DICTATOR offers its expert support and assistance for such projects in order to develop a suitable technical solution with you as a basis for regulating the discrepancy.

I already received the gas spring. However, the weight of the moving element is less than originally planned, so the gas spring is too strong. What can I do?2023-11-13T15:25:35+01:00

If the gas spring is fitted with a release valve, the force generated by the gas spring can be reduced. This is particularly advantageous for prototypes and during development work.

Contact us so that we can check what is the best measure for your application.

How to store gas springs correctly?2023-11-13T15:23:14+01:00

Please refer to our Safety precautions for detailed information on how to store gas springs correctly.

How do you install gas springs correctly?2023-11-13T15:21:48+01:00

Gas springs must always be installed with the piston rod pointing downwards. Pull-type gas springs should be installed with the piston rod pointing upwards. If gas springs are installed the other way round, this reduces their service life and makes premature failure more likely. You can find more details here.

What do I need to consider when caring for and maintaining my gas springs?2023-11-13T15:20:19+01:00

DICTATOR gas springs are sealed for life and do not need to be lubricated. Never touch the piston rod with pliers or similar tools. Damage to the piston rod can lead to premature failure of the gas spring. To achieve a long service life, gas springs should not be operated more than 6 times per minute, and at least once a month. DICTATOR gas springs with standard oil and seals work at temperatures between -10° and +80°. Avoid extreme heat or fire. Sudden impacts and invisible forces can damage gas springs. This must be avoided at all costs. Always follow the instructions for safe disposal. Please observe our Safety precautions.

Is maintenance of the gas springs necessary?2023-11-13T15:18:23+01:00

Gas springs are maintenance-free. However, to ensure that the products function perfectly, make sure that the piston rod is not dirty. Please also observe this and other Safety precautions.

Can gas springs be repaired?2023-11-13T15:16:07+01:00

Whether a repair is possible or not depends on what is damaged on the gas spring. The gas spring can be sent to us for inspection. Simply state what is defective or no longer works and enclose the invoice or delivery slip with which you purchased the goods from us.

Does DICTATOR offer custom gas springs for special applications?2023-11-13T14:49:35+01:00

Of course! We offer custom gas springs for a wide variety of applications. How to calculate a gas spring?2023-11-13T14:39:26+01:00

Unfortunately, there is no general formula for calculating gas springs that is valid for all applications. Even standard calculation programs on the Internet are often not enough to determine the right gas spring, because a wide variety of factors related to the particular installation situation must be taken into account to ensure proper function.

  • Choosing the fixing points: In most cases, there are only limited mounting options on site. The fixing points must be carefully considered, since even a slight change in position (in the millimeter range) can have a considerable effect on the function of the gas spring.
  • Determining the movement sequence: In addition, the desired motion sequence, e.g. of the flap, must be defined in advance for each application in order to obtain a safe solution. This is not only a matter of opening and closing speed. It is also necessary to consider the manual force required for opening and closing, whether the gas spring should be force-free when the flap is closed or not, and many different aspects that vary from one application to another. All of them should be taken into account for the calculation.
Movement of gas springs on flap

However, you do not have to do the calculation on your own. We don’t just sell you the gas springs, we also provide you free calculation service to make sure that you’ll get a high-quality, long lasting solution that fulfills all your requirements. This service is always included with your gas spring purchase, even if you just need one unit. Just fill out our questionnaire and we’ll find a suitable gas spring solution for you.

What material do I need for my gas springs?2023-11-13T14:28:37+01:00

Painted gas springs are enough for “normal” use, even if the gas springs are installed outdoors – as long as they are in a dry environment (e.g. in a garden box/crate). If the gas springs are installed in a place with higher humidity (e.g. a maintenance cover next to a pool), or in a sewerage system, we recommend using stainless steel 304 or 316 gas springs, depending on the environment. For more aggressive environments, we recommend stainless steel 316.

However, you don’t need to make the choice on your own! We will be happy to help you choose which material is the perfect fit for your application. Just contact us!

Which mounting brackets do I need for my application?2023-11-13T14:23:24+01:00

There is a large selection of fastening elements for gas springs with eyelets. Which mounting brackets to use depends on the space available, the force of the gas spring and the diameter range.

When we calculate the gas spring, we always propose suitable fastening accessories.

Which connections do I need for my gas springs?2023-11-13T14:17:52+01:00

The easiest way is to use eyelets, because there is a wide range of brackets for this purpose, which fit a variety of different mounting situations. Sometimes, however, forks or angle joints may be the best solution. For this purpose, the mounting brackets must be provided by the customer.

Wherever there is a risk of lateral forces acting upon the gas spring, then a rod end or angle joint should always be used, as this will compensate for any small deviations.

In our gas spring calculation for your individual application, we always provide you with the complete gas spring including fittings and mounting brackets.

What is the lead time for DICTATOR gas springs?2023-11-13T14:18:04+01:00

The standard delivery time for our gas springs is approx. 2 weeks. The delivery time may be longer for special or custom-made products. We also have a large selection of standard gas springs that can be delivered on short notice. Contact us for more information.

When do fire detectors in a hold-open system need to be replaced?2023-11-13T13:30:10+01:00

DICTATOR smoke and heat detectors must be replaced after 8 years of operation at the latest in order to ensure the full functionality of the hold-open system.

In Germany, the replacement requirement for fire detectors in hold-open systems is regulated by DIN 14677.

Depending on the local conditions, the specialist for hold-open systems must assess on a property-specific basis whether it may be necessary to replace individual fire detectors earlier (operating time less than 8 years).

Smoke detector RM 4000
Heat detector WM 4000
What voltage is used to operate the components of a DICTATOR hold-open system?2023-11-13T13:28:05+01:00

All components of the hold-open system (smoke and heat detectors, electromagnets and, if necessary, signaling devices) are operated with 24V DC.

When should a heat detector be used instead of a smoke detector?2023-11-13T13:26:07+01:00

Smoke detectors should be used wherever possible. If smoke or dust occurs during normal working or manufacturing processes, so that there is a risk of smoke detectors triggering false alarms, heat detectors should be used.

Heat detectors should not be used on smoke protection barriers, as smoke is not detected by a heat detector and therefore the smoke protection function cannot be ensured. It should also be noted that national regulations on heat detectors may require a further approval procedure (in Germany, for example, heat detectors are not permitted in escape routes).

Which components do I need for a hold-open system?2023-11-13T13:22:36+01:00

A hold-open system is composed of the following components:

  • Central unit (1): All essential functions are combined here: control unit, power supply and hand switch.
  • Smoke / heat detectors (2): Report a fire to the central unit and thus ensure that the hold-open system is triggered.
  • Electromagnets & counter plates (3+4): Keep fire doors open. The holding force of the electromagnets is only guaranteed with a corresponding counter plate.
  • Hand switch (5): It must also be possible to trigger a hold-open system manually, regardless of fire detectors. A hand switch is required for this.
  • Audiovisal signaling device (6): Audiovisual signaling devices (6): In Germany, according to MVV TB 1 2020 it is mandatory for: Workplace + door (width >2.5 m, area >6.25 m²) or if the max. permissible force of the door movement is greater than 200 N or the operating speed exceeds 0.3 m/s.

How often does the inspection and maintenance of a hold-open system have to be carried out and what needs to be done?2023-11-13T13:12:42+01:00

The hold-open system must be continuously kept operational by the operator and checked monthly – unless a different period is specified in the approval or type approval – to ensure that it functions properly. This functional test can be carried out by any authorized person in accordance with the test specifications. The operator is also required to carry out or have carried out a test at least once a year to ensure that all devices are working properly and without fault, as well as maintenance. This annual inspection/maintenance may only be carried out by a specialist or a person trained for this purpose.

Function test – monthly/every 3 months (by instructed person)

The functional test includes the following checks:

  • the manual release
  • the fire detectors by simulating the fire parameter (smoke detector with test aerosol/temperature detector with heat)
  • whether the fire protection or smoke protection closure is released for automatic closing after triggering
  • resetting the fire detectors from the alarm condition
  • whether environmental influences impair the function of the system
  • whether the use in the immediate vicinity of the holdopen system exerts negative influence on it (e.g. dust, water vapor)
  • whether the function of the hold-open system is influenced by structural changes or interactions with other installations

Maintenance – yearly (by specialist)

The annual maintenance includes all elements of a functional test and additionally the following elements:

  • Verification of the conformity of the documentation and the building authority approval
  • Cleaning of the functionally relevant components of the hold-open system
  • Preventive replacement of components of the hold-open system according to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Checking the hold-open system in the event of a power failure
  • Checking the release of the hold-open system when a fire detector is removed

All inspections and maintenance must be documented. The records must be filed with the operator of the hold-open system.

How do I choose the appropriate spring force in Newton (N) for my door damper?2023-11-13T10:25:04+01:00

There are several key factors to take into account when choosing the force of the spring:

  • The force required to bring the leaning door into the lock.
  • The installation position: the further away the door damper is installed from the hinges, the less spring force is required.

Measuring the required spring force:

If the door damper is installed on the closing edge, the force of the door damper must be greater than the manual force, i.e. the force required to push the door shut by hand. This force can be measured with the help of a spring scale/luggage scale or even with a bathroom scale in the area of the door handle.

However, you do not have to determine the spring strength on your own. Our technical customer service will be happy to help you select the right door damper – just contact us!

What are the installation options for door dampers and how much space does it need?2023-10-30T08:35:39+01:00

DICTATOR offers door dampers for both the push side and the pull side of the door.

Installation on the pull side (opening side):

In the case of inward opening doors, the door damper is usually installed on the inside (pull side) (e.g. VS 2000V 1600H 1300).

Installation position on the door:

If possible, door dampers should be installed vertically and centered on the top edge of the door. Above the top edge of the door leaf, there must be at least 65 mm space for the hook of the VS 2000 and at least 82 mm for the V 1600.

In case of lack of space (e.g. if the door has a large glass panel or the space above the door is too small), certain models can also be installed horizontally on the closing edge. It must be taken into account that the closing force of the door damper is stronger the further away it is installed from the hinge.

Installation on the push side (closing side):

The door damper R 1400 is installed on the closing side of the door, on the closing edge – either vertically or horizontally.

If there is not enough space for the installation or if you have any questions, please contact our technical customer service.

How can I adjust the door damper? How does the adjustment screw work?2023-10-30T08:24:48+01:00

With the exception of our door damper V 1600F for fire doors and the Junior, the closing speed of all DICTATOR door dampers can be adjusted. However, the spring force and thus the closing force of the door damper will only be slightly impacted by this.

To change the closing speed, turn the adjustment screw as shown in the picture.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our technical customer support.

What should be taken into account when installing door dampers on fire doors?2023-10-30T07:59:36+01:00

The models V 1600 / V 1600F model may be used on fire and smoke doors on which its installation is permitted by the manufacturer. Depending on your country’s regulations, it is possible that the door damper may only be used on fire and smoke doors for which there is an existing approval that allows its installation. Please, check whether the installation is allowed according to your country’s regulations.

On many fire and smoke doors, it is necessary to use mounting plates for the installation of the door damper and the hook. Please check  which mounting plates you need for your particular door before ordering. Should you have any questions, we’ll be happy to help.

Door dampers on hospital doors2023-09-07T12:10:21+02:00

The problem

At the moment, there is a nursing shortage in hospitals and care facilities, and nursing staff are working to the limit. And even the small things play a role here. When opening room doors, the handle has to be pressed down every time – often with full hands. Afterwards, the door has to be closed again as quietly as possible, because leaving doors open means drafts and often loud slamming doors. Both should be avoided at all costs.

Conclusion: Doors with a conventional handle and latch require more time for the staff to open and close, which adds up to a considerable loss of time in the long run. And unintentional slamming/closing of the doors also damages the door and its hinges.

DICTATOR solution

All this can be easily solved with DICTATOR door dampers. They catch slamming doors right before they close, pull them quietly shut, and keep them closed. For existing doors, the latch can be disabled. For the nursing staff, this means

  • When they walk into the room from the hallway, possibly with a tray in hand, they can simply push the door open with their elbow or their body.
  • To close it, it is enough to simply push the door shut. It no longer needs to be closed by hand, which saves time.
  • When doors are open and there is a draft, the door no longer slams shut loudly with the wind. This protects the door hinges and the door, thus increasing their service life.

Processes are faster and noise pollution caused by slamming doors for nursing staff and patients is a thing of the past.

The door damper on the hospital door prevents it from slamming shut and also keeps it closed. A door handle and lock latch are no longer necessary. Just a handle to pull the door open or throw it shut.

Door closer for doors without upper frame2023-11-20T12:06:35+01:00

The problem

In a chemical company, half-height hinged doors are used in material locks (pallet locks), which must reliably close on their own after each opening. The reason for this is that these doors constitute the end of a loading ramp and a door that is not closed has been classified as a safety risk because of the resulting risk of accidents. In the past, there were attempts to meet this requirement with an overhead door closer installed on the side wall. However, these door closers are not designed for this type of application.

The overhead door closer previously used could not ensure reliable, safe closing of the hinged gates.

DICTATOR Solution

The gate closer DIREKT is designed precisely for such requirements. It does not require an upper frame to close doors efficiently and reliably – even with a high number of operations. The customer has now installed gate closer DIREKT on the gates and is very pleased with the results. Mainly because the DIREKT also works without any problems on gates on which a lateral attachment of the overhead door closer was not possible at all. Thus, the required accident prevention could now also be reliably implemented.

In this case, they chose the stainless steel version (AISI 304) for outdoor use. For environments with saline air, the DIREKT is also available in AISI 316 – including the corresponding fixing brackets.

The gate closer DIREKT always closes reliably, even in windy conditions. This prevents people in the storage area from overlooking the danger zone and falling off the loading ramp.

Only minimal space is required for lateral installation of the gate closer DIREKT.

Large, heavy interior doors can’t be prevented from slamming open by door bumpers2023-11-20T12:11:14+01:00

Problem

Heavy hinged doors with a width of approx. 1.20 m were used in this building. However, when they opened, they repeatedly slammed against the furniture or sinks behind them. The problem could not be solved with a door bumper on the floor. Therefore, the customer contacted DICTATOR.

DICTATOR Solution

Back checks are attached to the top of the door and the frame – retrofitting is no problem at all.

If the door opens too fast (e.g. due to a draft), the back check intervenes and dampens the opening speed. If necessary, the back check can even be supplied with a hold-open. Door stops on the floor, which are often a tripping hazard and can get in the way when cleaning, are no longer needed.

Thanks to different installation accessories, the back check can be used on almost any door, even those with an overhead door closer.

To ensure that you get the right back check for your application, DICTATOR will be happy to assist you free of charge. We will help you find the fitting model, the installation accessories and calculate the exact installation position. Simply fill out this questionnaire and send it to us.

Floor spring no longer works – what to do?2023-11-20T12:07:03+01:00

Problem

An old floor spring is installed on a door and no longer works properly. Replacing it would be extremely expensive and time-consuming, and worst case scenario, the floor would have to be pried open, the door would have to be modified, and it would be impossible to pass through for the duration of the work.

It would be preferable if the floor spring could simply be removed and the door could be saved from having to be dismounted. But what kind of door closer can be used as a replacement – especially for arched doors?

DICTATOR solution

The door closer DIREKT is the perfect solution for this.

The existing floor spring can simply be removed and the DIREKT takes over the closing function. It is also suitable for very high actuation rates of the door, allows an opening angle of up to 110° and, above all, can be adjusted so that it still closes the door reliably even at very slow closing speeds. Our technical department will be happy to assist you in determining the ideal fixing points for your specific application, so that success is assured.

Retrofitting the DIREKT is quick and easy, especially as the door no longer needs to be removed.

You can find an example and further information here.

The door closer DIREKT can be retrofitted without any difficulty. Installation is quick and easy – especially since DICTATOR will be happy to calculate the exact fixing points for each application free of charge.

Access door to residential units in assisted living facility collides with bathroom door – what can be done without remodeling?2021-07-16T08:55:38+02:00

Problem

On the one hand, apartments in retirement homes or assisted living facilities, or even rooms in hospitals or rehabilitation clinics, should offer residents the greatest possible comfort so that they feel at home. On the other hand, they must be built as space saving as possible so that they remain affordable.

It often happens that if the room door opens inwards and the bathroom door opens into the hallway, they collide whenever they are opened at the same time.

The result: damaged doors and constant repair costs. Worst case scenario, the two doors become wedged or blocked to such an extent that the room can only be entered with great difficulty and time lag. This is especially critical if the resident of the room has fallen down.

DICTATOR Solution

In most cases, this problem can be easily solved using DICTATOR back checks to limit the opening angle of the bathroom door (e.g. to 90°). That way, the door to the living unit/room can always open past the bathroom door without any problems.

With this solution, there is no need for costly remodeling. And the door is also damped before reaching the open position, so that – if someone is just entering the room at that moment – it does not pose a danger to that person either. Despite the back check, the door can be opened by hand without a problem.

DICTATOR also assists with determining the correct installation position of the back check.

stromloser Schiebetürschließer

If the door to the bathroom opens too far and the door to the room is opened at the same time, the two will collide. Back checks prevent this from happening, as the bathroom door will only open so far that the room door can be opened completely without any trouble. Back checks can also be easily retrofitted to existing doors.

Installation of swing door hinges on doors with steel frames2023-11-20T11:51:52+01:00

Problem

The front plate of the swing door hinges is normally placed recessed in the frame. However, this is only possible with wooden frames.
Can the swing door hinges also be used together with steel frames where they can only be screwed on?

DICTATOR Solution

This is not a problem at all. Wherever the mounting plate cannot be placed in a recess, it can be just screwed onto the frame. The only disadvantage: the gap between frame and door leaf is slightly larger. But in some cases, such as this one, this does not matter at all, since it is a swing door that is used in commercial kitchens. It does not have to close tightly, but should merely provide a visual separation – while bothering employees as little as possible. This is what the DICTATOR Hawgood swing door hinge does, as it returns the swing door to its original position very quickly – which also means very little noise from swinging doors.

stromloser Schiebetürschließer

The frame of the swing door is made of stainless steel – because of its use in commercial kitchens. It is not possible to make a recess for the front plate of the swing door hinge.

stromloser Schiebetürschließer

No problem: the front plate is simply screwed onto the stainless steel post – the perfect function is maintained.

How to install a door damper on a glass door?2023-11-20T12:03:25+01:00

Problem

Especially with all-glass doors, slamming can have particularly expensive consequences: apart from the risk for the door users, replacing an all-glass door can be really expensive! Of course, DICTATOR door dampers safely prevent the door from slamming shut – and also keep the doors securely closed. But how can they be installen on an all-glass door? After all, drilling is not possible.

DICTATOR Solution

DICTATOR has developed a mounting set for gluing the door damper V 1600 to all-glass doors. The mounting plate for the door damper is attached to the all-glass door with a special double-sided adhesive tape. The door damper is simply screwed onto the mounting plate. To prevent the adhesive tape from the other side of the door from affecting the high-quality appearance of the all-glass door as an eyesore, an additional stainless steel cover plate is also stuck on here. The same solution is available for the hook.

stromloser Schiebetürschließer

The mounting plates for both the door damper and the hook are glued to the glass door and the glass fanlight with a specially tested adhesive tape.

stromloser Schiebetürschließer

On the back of the glass door, thin stainless steel cover plates conceal the adhesive tape.

Back checks prevent damage to windows2020-04-02T15:32:29+02:00

Problem

Wind, draught and, above all, opening windows carelessly can quickly cause damages, e.g. broken glass, damage to hinges or even the wall. This often results in high repair costs. Even more serious is the risk of people being injured by windows that slam open.

In places where a large number of people gather, especially children, and in which windows are operated frequently, such as nurseries, schools or public buildings, this can be a big problem.

DICTATOR Solution

DICTATOR back checks are the ideal solution for windows, even if they are more frequenly used on doors. Thanks to their hydraulic damping, they gently slow down windows that open too quickly and limit the opening angle. This way they prevent windows from being thrown open at a high speed, be it due to wind, draught or careless operation. Back checks thus prevent possible damages to the windows, hinges and the wall or facade – and even possible injuries caused by a violent opening. Furthermore, windows with back checks can still be opened and operated as easily as usual.

DICTATOR not only supplies the back checks but also the exact calculation of the fixing points for an easy, trouble-free installation.

Front door bangs or doesn’t close completely?2018-11-22T09:34:14+01:00

Problem

Front doors that bang or don’t close completely – especially in combination with an overhead door closer – can be quite annoying. But they are no problem for DICTATOR door dampers. Whether there is an overhead door closer or not, it always makes sure the door closes quietly and reliably.

But what to do if there is no space for the hook above the door or if the door features a large glass pannel in which you cannot fix the door damper vertically?

DICTATOR Solution

In this case, you can use the door damper VS 2000, since the standard model can also be mounted horizontally. The version with 20 N spring used to be the ‘normal’ one, however, due to the new Heat Insulation Ordinance, doors are now better insulated and thus have become heavier and thicker. Also, additional sealings make closing the door more difficult and therefore a VS 2000 with a closing force of 20 N is often not strong enough. A model with a 50 N spring would easily prevent the door from banging and would close it completely, BUT for some users the force required to open the door would be too high.

The DICTATOR answer to this problem: since mid 2017 DICTATOR provides the door damper VS 2000 also with a closing force of 35 N. And, since then, these unresolved cases are a thing of the past.

The door damper VS 2000 is placed directly at the closing edge, as there is not enough space for the hook above the door. This is no problem with a 35 N closing spring.

Open sliding doors automatically – without operator2021-08-09T09:01:31+02:00

Problem

How can a sliding door be opened without an electric door operator?

Normally, the task of a door closer is to close a door automatically. In the case of this “escape” doors in the Twisted Rooms Hamburg, however, a double sliding door should open automatically but mechanically – without the need of electricity – in order to allow the people to exit the room after they’ve solved the puzzle. Both leaves should open in sync, slowly and quietly. And all this without using an electric door operator.

DICTATOR Solution

The sliding door was equipped with the DICTAMAT 50 BK-Z. Normally, it works as a sliding door closer, but for this application in the Escape Room it was converted into a door opener. Both leaves are opened with one DICTAMAT 50 BK-Z. The speed is steplessly adjustable and can therefore be adapted to the exact requirements. Under the link, you’ll find more information about this application for a mechanical door opener for Escape Room doors.

Door closer possible even when there is no space above the door2023-11-20T12:12:32+01:00

Problem

Entrance doors – also side entrances – should normally be securely closed. But what to do if there is no space above the door for mounting a normal overhead door closer?

DICTATOR Solution

The door closer DIREKT solves this problem. One of its ends is fixed to the door frame and the other directly on the door leaf. Its closing speed can be ajusted exactly to the requirements on site. It is also possible to adjust the closing speed and even close the door very slowly.

Gates with ascending hinges close too fast. How to slow them down?2018-05-04T09:06:50+02:00

Problem

The property is situated on an ascending terrain. The gate(s) must have ascending hinges to allow opening them. However, when closed without manual control, the gates will develop a high speed, thus having a great risk of accident.

Consequences: Noise, damages, injuries.

DICTATOR Solution

The DICTATOR oil damper makes sure that the gate is closed in a controlled way at a speed adjusted on site, thus making sure nothing is damaged and nobody gets hurt.

The cold storage door doesn’t close completely – when closed in a hurry2018-05-04T09:07:18+02:00

Problem

Every restaurant, canteen and food store has a cold storage. As a rule, smaller cold storages have hinged doors. Since everybody is usually in a hurry, they don’t always pay attention that the doors are really completely closed. Also, due to the seals, the doors don’t close easily on their own. Through the remaining gap the cold air can escape, the cold storage becomes too warm and expensive energy is lost.

DICTATOR Solution

DICTATOR door checks make sure that the closing door is always reliably and completely closed. The user doesn’t have to make sure anymore that the door is really completely closed. He saves time, the routines become faster, and the door is always closed and energy saved.

Open sliding doors disappear completely in a wall pocket – but how to retrieve them?2018-11-14T22:34:18+01:00

Problem

In house building sliding doors are on the rise. Especially attractive are sliding doors which completely disappear in wall pockets and thus open the whole passage. But how to retrieve them? There are special handles sunk in the front face of the door that are available for this purpose.  In order to close the door, they first have to be folded out – and afterwards have to be folded back as otherwise the door won’t close completely. A very troublesome procedure!

DICTATOR Solution

The DICTATOR release buffer offers an invisible solution wich is extremely easy to handle: a short, slight pressure on the front face of the door is sufficient to let the door come out of the wall pocket.
