Top-hung windows should open by themselves and be kept open

Unique buildings require unique solutions. Normal windows can hardly be used for inclined facades. And so top-hung windows or pop-up windows are used here. But the slanted windows did not stay open on their own. So, they needed a simple, reliable solution.

Of course, the windows could have been held open with a mechanical device. But then, the window would have to be pushed open by hand, a hold-open mechanism would have to be moved into position when the window reached the open position, and then it would have to be removed again when the window was closed. In addition, there is a risk that then the window simply slams shut. With gas springs, none of this is an issue. They not only prevent damage, but also provide a better quality of life.

DICTATOR gas springs perform two functions at once:

• They open the window by themselves. For this purpose, an additional mechanical pressure spring is invisibly installed in the cylinder so that the window opens automatically as soon as the window handle is turned.
• They hold the window securely in the open position, i.e. the windows cannot accidentally fall shut.
