DICTAMAT 8000-21 sliding fire door operator

Since many years it reliably opens and closes the sliding door to the operating suite in the Sabadell hospital and also protects in the case of a fire

Since November 2008 the DICTAMAT 8000-21 guards the safe access to the operating suite in the Sabadell hospital, without any interruption or break, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. The operator is hidden because it is mounted above the suspended ceiling (see picture below).

For the OPEN command a large surface switch is used. The door closes automatically after an adjustable hold-open time. The safety of the users is assured by a light barrier. When activated during normal operation, the door will reverse, i.e. it opens again. In case of a fire, however, the door stops when hitting an obstacle. As soon as the door area is free again, the door will automatically continue to close.

The DICTAMAT 8000-21 opens the door by motor and closes it with the incorporated spring. This ensures the closing also during a power cut with a simultaneous fire alarm.

The power is transmitted by a revolving toothed belt. An integrated encoder controls the position. In case of larger sliding doors, this allows to determine an additional opening position where the door opens just enough to let pass e.g. a person.

The DICTATOR door operator range includes other fire door operators. If there is already a counterweight installed, the DICTAMAT 7000-21 is used. For sliding doors only opened rarely, just a closing device might be suitable (semiautomatic door operators, e.g. DICTAMAT 650).
