All clear in the car dealership, in spite of the extremely rough-running entrance door

DICTAMAT MultiMove door operator in the car dealership Van Mossel

In the car dealership Van Mossel the entrance door to the building for the passenger car service had been operated manually up to now. This required a lot of strength and, therefore, opening and closing it up to 200 times a day was very hard work!

The DICTAMAT MultiMove put an end to this and since May 2015 the employees of the car dealership can be happy about every car that comes for servicing and/or repair.

Data of the sliding door (single-leaf):
4005 mm wide, 4550 mm high, weight approx. 900 kg
Force required for manually moving the door: 400 N!

Operating the door:
By means of remote control and/or switch. Possible are either partial opening (about 900 mm, for the passage of people) or complete opening.
The moving door is secured by the power interruption integrated in the door operator and an additional safety device.

Special features of the installation:

  • Additional guiding on the floor with a floor rail
  • Sealing towards the floor by a brush seal
  • Manual operation in case of a power cut has to be assured

The floor guiding and the brush seal cause a very high friction and, therefore, moving the door requires a high force. Thanks to the smooth-running gearbox, the door can be moved manually even after the door operator has been mounted.

Due to the top-quality gearbox components and their optimized ratio, a direct current motor can move the door easily. In the past, an AC motor with a much higher energy consumption would have been needed.
