HAWGOOD swing door hinges keep exit of aquarium in Kijkduin in Den Helder closed

DICTATOR products can be found almost everywhere. Most people do not notice them. That’s how discreetly they do their work. Only when you take a closer look, you will find a lot of DICTATOR products. One of our DICTATOR employees has also been infected with the “discovery virus” for DICTATOR products. 😊 Since then, he discovers DICTATOR products everywhere and, of course, takes pictures of them.

That’s exactly what happened in this case. He was with his family for a long weekend on a campsite near Den Helder (Netherlands) and went to Fort Kijkduin- a fortress from the time of Napoleon. Soldiers used to be stationed in the vaults. Now there is a nice museum about the history of the fort, of course, with many exhibits from the past. In addition, a spectacular marine aquarium was opened in two vaults in 1996.

Among other things, you can walk through the aquarium in a 15-meter-long glass tunnel and see all the fish of the North Sea. The tour is designed as a one-way street. To ensure that no one enters the tunnel from the wrong side, an access barrier has been placed at the exit with the sign “No entrance- Geen toegang”. However, this still preserves the view of the aquarium and prevents visitors from feeling trapped in the tunnel – which could well be the case with a closed door. Since the gate has to close again after each visitor, our HAWGOOD swing door hinges were the perfect fit. Like the material of the gate, these are made of stainless steel. They offer virtually no resistance when the door is opened and ensure that the gate closes safely, quickly and quietly at all times, despite the many visitors.

And for our employee, the “tracking” of our swing door hinges made the visit to the museum even more enjoyable. 😊
