Metal-free clean room laboratories fulfill the highest requirements – with the DICTATOR interlock control system
MK Versuchsanlagen und Laborbedarf e.K. from Mücke (Germany) is one of the few manufacturers of plastic laboratory systems. The special equipment manufacturer is specialised in developing, designing and building completely metal-free clean rooms with likewise metal-free workplaces. Stainless-steel clean rooms cannot be used everywhere, e.g. when working with highly concentrated acids, as these could attack the metal.
In 2019, MK implemented a clean room concept with wet work benches in semiconductor technology, in which the need for the highest level of cleanliness is required directly at the workplace (clean room class ISO 3). The newly developed ventilation system of the wet work benches by MK allows a considerable reduction of energy demand with saving potentials of up to 50 percent. You can find detailed information here.
An important part of this modern technology in daily operation is the intuitive handling of safety-relevant processes within the clean room. For this purpose, MK needed an interlock control system that is easy to install /program and that can easily adapt to their requirements.
With the DICTATOR interlock control system, all door dependencies can be individually adjusted by means of DIP switches. These are, in turn, directly linked to the ventilation systems without any computer-aided control.
In addition, MK Versuchsanlagen together with DICTATOR developed individually adapted front panels made of plastic for the DICTATOR terminals, which were previously only available in stainless steel.
