Strong wind turned the entrance doors of the Regiocentrale Maasbracht into something really dangerous or prevented their opening or closing
Now the hinged door operator DICTAMAT 310-21 makes sure the entrance doors open and close safely – in all kinds of weather
Wind has been getting to us more and more during the last years. In the Regiocentrale Maasbracht/the Netherlands a normal hinged door operator was no match for the wind. Already at wind force 4 which is quite common there, it couldn’t move the doors safely any more.
So urgently a solution for automatizing the doors was needed, which would still function without problem – as demanded by the customer – at wind forces of 9 Beaufort. Of course with the corresponding safety for the people passing through the doors as well as for the doors and the glass facade of the building itself. Because when the doors are open they are completely exposed to the wind. And nevertheless they shall stay surely in this position, not knock open any further or close in an uncontrolled manner. This was even more important as the doors are operated from a desk farther away.
