Safe exposition world thanks to DICTATOR back checks

The exposition hall doors of the Messe Munich don’t go to pieces any more

The hall doors of the Messe Munich, which open to the outside, are extremely frequented during expositions. And they are often exposed to gusts of wind, air draughts and carelessness. In the past, this resulted in heavily damaged doors again and again: broken glass, damaged door closers and hinges, etc. Beside the repair costs this could also affect the stream of visitors during fairs by doors being out of use.

DICTATOR provided adjustable back checks. The back checks control the complete opening of the door and limit its opening angle. But this implies not a higher effort for the user as the damping only starts when the opening speed of the door becomes too fast, e.g. by a gust of wind or by handling it too roughly, an important advantage, especially on doors as frequented as those at the Messe Munich.

Back checks

Back checks are used on doors or windows that can be blown open by wind, draft or even during normal operation. They dampen doors/windows in the opening direction and limit the opening angle. This prevents doors and windows from swinging open without control, prevents damage and protects people standing next to the door.

Various models cover a wide range of applications: from lightweight interior doors and windows to very large/heavy doors with high loads. Many models can be used in combination with overhead door closers and are optionally available with an integrated hold-open in the open position.
