Tube gate as access control: RTS door closer integrated in the tube closes reliably despite the missing frame

The Rheinhessen-Bad (public swimming pool) in Nieder-Olm, Germany, offers fun for everybody: a large non-swimmer’s pool with slide for young children, a large swimming pool and an outdoor pool accessible from the inside. To ensure that absolutely everybody has fun, accessibility is very important for the Rheinhessen-Bad.

For this purpose they built a special access to the changing area which is reserved for bathers with reduced mobility. This access has to close automatically every time it is used to prevent uncontrolled entrance of other visitors.

It is not possible to install a traditional door closer on such doors. First, there is no frame above the door and, second, the door closer could easily be manipulated. For this reason, the RTS tube door closer is the ideal solution. It is concealed into the round tube frame and is nearly impossible to see even when the door is open. The closing speed can be adjusted exactly to the requirements, in this case, as slowly as possible, so that people can pass through the door without any problems.
