Hygiene in hospitals

Again and again the public is scared by reports about the spreading of pathogens as e.g. the multiresistant pathogens (MRSA) in hospitals. They demonstrate how essential it is to comply with the hygiene regulations. On the other hand there is the permanently increasing cost pressure in hospitals which often prevents costly structural alteration works.

One device to fight pathogens are interlock control systems, which seal off the areas with possible infection risks as for example the laundry, disinfection stations etc. and which protect clean rooms like hospital pharmacies and operating rooms.

The DICTATOR interlock control system for doors in hospitals

The DICTATOR interlock control system does without complex control systems the programming of which would require special knowledge. The relations between all doors of an interlock control system which can be changed any time, are determined by simple DIP switches. The components are connected by pluggable cables. In case the interlock system consists of only a few doors without special functions, the system can easily be installed and put into operation without needing specialists.
But at the same time the DICTATOR interlock control system also offers the possibility to provide demanding special functions and to integrate already existing systems e.g. ventilation etc. Always without computer programming! It is also possible to include doors in emergency exits in compliance with the standards.

In the example shown below it has been determined in a very simple matrix which door may be opened when another one is already open. These relations determined in the matrix are then exactly transferred to the DIP switches of the interlock control system – and that was the programming.

But DICTATOR not only provides the components, but also performs the project planning for the installation according to the respective application.
