In addition to the planning, we also offer to carry out the installation work, the annual maintenance and any servicing that may be required – always taking into account all applicable regulations, of course.

Upon request, we can also train you as a specialist for hold-open systems in a practice-oriented seminar.

Components of the DICTATOR hold-open systems

1. Central unit

The heart of the hold-open system. All essential functions are combined here: power supply, control and hand switch.

2. Smoke & heat detectors

Reports a fire to the central unit and ensures that the hold-open system is triggered in time.

Hold-open mechanism: 3. Electromagnets & 4. Counter plates

Keep fire doors open. The holding force of the magnets can only be ensured with corresponding counter plates.

5. Manual switch

A hold-open system must also be able to be triggered manually independently of the fire detectors. A manual switch is required for this purpose.

Double-leaf fire and smoke doors must be fitted with a door sequence selector
Door sequence selectors ensure that the door leaves close reliably in the correct sequence, thus reliably preventing the spread of fire or smoke

Safely closed fire doors – without gaps

In the event of a fire, it can happen that large door leaves are securely closed, but are pressed open in some places due to the high temperatures and the resulting pressure difference
The resulting gap allows the fire to spread despite of having a fire door
At a certain temperature, a pin extends and locks the door leaf in the door frame
