Ex-proof electromagnet for the zones 2 and 22

Hazardous areas are classified into different zones. As zones 2 (gas) or 22 (powder) are classified areas where an explosive gas atmosphere is not likely to occur in normal operation but, if it does occur, will persist for a short period only. Therefore, electromagnets used in the zones 2 and 22 have not to meet the same high demands that are imperative for the zones 1 and 11.

For decades DICTATOR has supplied tested and approved ex-proof electromagnets for the use in the zones 1 and 11 which of course also can be mounted in the zones 2 and 22. As of now DICTATOR offers an ex-proof electromagnet exclusively for the zones 2 and 22. Because of the lower demands in regard to the explosion protection this magnet is much more economic.

The EM GD 70 R39I Ex2 electromagnets have on their base plate a connection terminal for the equipotential bonding which has to be realized on site.
